BIOLOGY 1

This course emphasizes the continuity and diversity of God’s creation through the study of the kingdoms of life, cell structure and function, genetics, biochemistry, human anatomy and physiology, evolution, taxonomy, botany, and ecology.

BIOLOGY 1
HONORS Grade 9.....2 semesters.....1 credit

This course includes all of the elements of Biology, but in significantly greater detail and at a faster pace. There is a greater emphasis on analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and scientific application than in Biology.

INTEGRATED PHYSICS & CHEMISTRY
Grade 10.....2 semesters.....1 credit

This course prepares students for coursework in Chemistry and/or Physics. Emphasis is placed on conceptual aspects of Chemistry and Physics. Prerequisite: Biology 1

INTEGRATED PHYSICS & CHEMISTRY HONORS
Grade 10.....2 semesters..1 credit

This course includes all of the elements of Integrated Physics and Chemistry, but goes at a faster rate and with more depth. More emphasis is placed upon analytical thinking, problem solving, and independent study. Prerequisite: Recommendation of the Biology 1 teacher
