NEW TESTAMENT
Grade 9.......2 semesters.....1 credit
This course will survey the New Testament books of the Bible through a study
of:
a. Jesus’ life, death and resurrection as recorded in the Gospels
b. The early Christian church development as described in Acts
c. The growth of the Christian church from the view point of the epistles
d. A brief overview of the prophecy in Revelation
While covering important biblical, doctrinal, and historical information, there
will be emphasis on application to daily life.
OLD TESTAMENT
Grade 10.......2 semesters....1 credit
In God’s Old Testament people, the student will become aware of man’s fall into sin and why the world is in need of a Savior. The student will learn that God promised Adam and Eve a Savior and that the Old Testament preserved and repeated that promise to God’s people. Most of all, the students will discover through the examples set forth in the lives of the Old Testament people that God’s grace is the underlying theme in Scripture and the ultimate gift to all people – both then and now.
Worl Religions
Grade 11….2 semesters…..1 credit
This course examines the practice of world religions with emphasis on their cultural and theological dimensions. It is designed as a comparative study, but not in an equal sense, in that a Christian worldview will be identifiable as the principal comparative paradigm.
